My passion lies in travel photography and urbex. Abandoned places where time seems to stand still continue to fascinate me. Buildings where history still lingers in the air, as if the last residents only left yesterday. Peeling walls, rusty staircases and forgotten rooms immediately capture my attention. It is exactly this combination of beauty, decay and silence that makes urbex so special to me.
More than ten years ago, I started exploring urbex photography in Belgium, where there were still plenty of locations to discover at the time. Nowadays, my focus has shifted more towards former Eastern Europe. Everything there feels rawer, purer and less polished. Abandoned sanatoriums in Georgia and Armenia, a decaying theatre in East Germany or a deserted factory somewhere in Poland — these are places where the past still feels tangible.
